Wound Care

Healing a wound at home or in a facility means matching the dressing to what the wound is actually doing, and keeping the rest of the supply room stocked for the changes in between. We carry the full range: silicone and hydrocolloid foam dressings, calcium alginate, amorphous hydrogel, xeroform and island dressings, sterile gauze sponges and rolls, ABD pads, elastic and cohesive bandages, non-woven and transparent tapes, normal saline and sterile water, plus triple antibiotic ointment and Medihoney gel. From a transparent film over a clean post-op site to alginate on a draining wound, the supplies for every stage are here.

Match the dressing to what the wound is doing

A draining wound and a dry one need different things, and stocking one dressing for everything is how supply burn and slow healing both creep up. For heavier exudate, calcium alginate pulls fluid into the dressing and forms a gel. Amorphous hydrogel does the opposite, adding moisture to a dry bed. Silicone foam with a border and hydrocolloid foam handle the middle range and stay put through movement, while a transparent film keeps a clean, low-drainage site visible without a full change.

Gauze still does the daily work. Sterile 4x4 sponges, the 4.5-inch bandage roll, and ABD pads cover packing, padding, and securing. Xeroform leaves a non-stick layer over raw tissue, and island dressings give you an absorbent pad and adhesive border in one piece. Keep normal saline or sterile water on hand for cleansing between changes so the dressing you chose actually does its job.

Different wounds need different dressings, and picking the right one depends on the wound type, location, and how much drainage is involved.

Sterile gauze sponges and gauze bandage rolls are the basics. They work well for cleaning wounds, applying topical treatments, and packing wounds that need frequent dressing changes. Our non-sterile gauze sponges come in packs of 200, which makes them practical for facilities or anyone going through supplies quickly.

For wounds with moderate to heavy drainage, our silicone foam dressing with border provides absorbency while staying gentle on the surrounding skin. Calcium alginate dressings are designed for deeper wounds with significant drainage. They form a gel as they absorb, which helps keep the wound bed moist. Hydrocolloid foam dressings work well for partial-thickness wounds and can stay in place for several days.

Xeroform gauze dressing is a petrolatum-impregnated option often used on burns, skin grafts, and lightly draining wounds. For transparent coverage, our Tegaderm film dressing protects the wound while letting you monitor healing without removing it.

We also carry wound closure strips for smaller cuts, Medihoney gel for wound bed preparation, triple antibiotic ointment, and sterile normal saline for irrigation. You can browse our wound care dressings, medical tape, and wound ointments collections for more focused options.
