Wheelchairs

Finding the right wheelchair means matching the chair to the person, not the other way around. We carry manual and electric wheelchairs in standard and extra wide sizes, along with reclining and bariatric options for comfort and support. Accessories like memory foam and gel cushions for wheelchairs and pressure alarm mats are here too.

Match the chair to how it'll actually get used

A lightweight manual wheelchair covers most everyday needs, indoors and on short outings, as long as someone can self-propel or has a person to push. If weight capacity is the concern, a bariatric model gives you a wider seat and a reinforced frame without changing how the chair works day to day. The lighter the frame, the easier it is on whoever's lifting it in and out of a car.

For a full-time user, comfort over long stretches becomes the deciding factor, and a reclining chair adds head and neck support plus the ability to shift pressure without transferring to a bed. If someone can't self-propel or bear weight at all, a powered option may be the better fit. And whatever the frame, a good cushion under someone seated for hours does more for their skin and comfort than most people expect.

Choosing a wheelchair starts with understanding how it will be used day to day. Someone who spends most of their time seated needs a different setup than someone who transfers in and out frequently. For full-time users, reclining high-back models with proper lumbar and head support help prevent pressure injuries and improve comfort over long stretches. A good wheelchair back cushion or gel cushion for wheelchair seating can make a real difference for anyone sitting for extended periods.

Size matters more than most people realize. A chair that's too narrow causes skin irritation, and one that's too wide makes self-propelling harder and increases fall risk. If you're unsure, a wheelchair size chart is a helpful starting point. We carry extra wide wheelchair options for larger body types, along with hemi height wheelchair models designed for users who propel with their feet rather than their hands.

For facilities ordering in bulk, we supply manual and electric wheelchairs suited for nursing homes, hospice programs, and assisted living communities. Our bariatric models support higher weight capacities, and our lightweight manual chairs are easy for staff to transport and store. If you need help building out a fleet or replacing aging equipment, our team can walk you through options based on your resident population and budget.
